Richard Le Lievre - Managing Director
Richard joined Le Lievres in 1985 when an opportunity arose within the family business in the Jersey branch of the company. Between the years of 1985 and 1990 Richard trained as a Company Secretary and Administrator under the guidance of the then Company Secretary Mr George Wilson and became a graduate of the institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 1991.
He became the firms official Company Secretary in 1991 and is now Joint Managing Director with his brother Philip who ran the Le Lievres Guernsey for 20 years until its closure in 2012.
Richard is passionate about the family business and being one of the leading independent cookshops in the UK. He has been responsible for the image and recent updated branding of Le Lievres and for the expansion of the shop through the 1990’s and helped bring Le Lievres in to the computer age. All his and his team efforts culminated in the business being voted Britain’s best Cookshop in 2009.
During his time at school he notably became the British Junior squash champion at Under 16 and Under 19 age groups.
Colin Le Marquand - Buyer
Colin joined Le Lievres in 1989 and has now been with the company 23 years.
Colin is the Le Lievres buyer and is responsible for keeping our shelves topped up with the latest products that are being developed for the kitchen and housewares markets. His depth of knowledge about buying our Cook Shop and housewares products is second to none and he was the key factor in Le Lievres winning Britain’s Cook Shop of the year in 2009. Colin is very customer driven and his enthusiasm for the trade is simply wonderful and is always available to help our customers in any way possible.
